After developer buys Quayside Lodge overlooking Imperial Wharf Park for £19 million

Fulham is set to gain another 110 riverside homes after Quayside Lodge on William Morris Way was sold by property investment company CLS to developer SMC Property.
The site, which was sold for £19 million, is currently an office building, but planning permssion has already been granted to demolish it and redevelop the site to create new office space along with 110 homes, 35% of which will be affordable.
The application, which was approved in September 2018 was as follows:
Redevelopment to create a ten storey (with basement) building providing flexible office floorspace (Class B1) at ground floor level and 110 private and affordable residential units across the upper floors (Class C3). Secure basement car and cycle parking and refuse storage provided at basement level accessed from a ramp on William Morris Way. The plans, drawn up by EPR Architects, show flats with balconies and terraces offering views across Imperial Wharf Park and the River Thames towards Central London.
Though no timetable has yet been set for the redevelopment, SMC Property says: "Quayside Lodge comprises a new contemporary riverside building of 110 residential units benefitting from private balconies and generous terraces wrapping around the north of the building offering breathtaking views of the River Thames and the London skyline.
"At ground floor level the offices have extensive glazed façades fronting onto Imperial Park, creating a vibrant streetscape. Designed by award-winning EPR Architects, the scheme comprises a new contemporary riverside building stepping up to 10 storeys in height. A resident’s gymnasium, a cinema room. secure cycle parking and 51 car parking spaces are situated at basement level."
As well as being next to Imperial Wharf and a few hundred yards east of another huge development, Fulham Riverside, Quayside Lodge sits next to the site of the recently demolished Watermeadow Court where an applicaiton has been submitted to build 319 new homes.
