Firefighters Rescue Cats from Fulham Blaze


Fire on sixth floor twelve storey building on Waterford Road

A man escaped and firefighters rescued two cats after a blaze broke out in a flat on Waterford Road in Fulham, SW6, this morning (18 May).

A flat on the sixth floor of the twelve storey building was partly damaged by the fire.

The Brigade was called at 10.03am and the fire was under control less than an hour later.

Four fire engines and twenty firefighters from Fulham, Chelsea, Kensington and Battersea fire stations were at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
